The top is solid and the back/sides are rose wood - not sure what wood the top is made from - assume its spruce. The grain under the lacquer is quite pronounced. The back is made in 2 pieces - there is a joining strip inside around 15 mm wide. The two pieces are identical! The grain and colouring are a perfect mirror image. The back also has a slight double curvature. There is a serial number printed on the end of arm the inside inside the guitar - 760628. Could this be the date of manufacture? I have a friend who lives in our village - he is a Luthier, so at some stage I will ask his opinion - his name is Stephen Hill - you may of heard of him.

Would be nice to get the full history.

Regards,

Mike
